7 June 2297 - Mount Desert Island Starts Youth League
Reports are that Small Bertha started her own youth league in the Mount Desert Island area. Right now there are four elite teams. Bertha stated that they would be based on the island's history of factions.
There are rumors that the Far Harbor area is in the works to develop its own independent league, though Bertha has not made anything official. Leaders on the island have expressed interest, but also know they need to amp up the number of fog condensers necessary to stop baseball fields from being fogged over.
In the meantime, the youth league will play the majority of its games in July and August when the fog tends to be less dense on the island. Each of the teams are based at one of the larger settlements of Mount Desert Island.
The youth teams are: the Far Harbor Harborboys, the Dalton Farm Children, the Echo Lake Lumber Trappers, and the Longfellow's Cabin Acadians. All players are between 14-17.
