July 3: End of Day Movement:
After moving Bryan Rust out through a trade to make some cap space and which also made room to put Kasperi Kapanen into the lineup, we were going to call it a day, until we got some inquires about Jon Marchessault. Arizona offered up Christian Dvorak which was an close bite, but we went on to accept the offer of the Los Angeles.
As we said farewell to Jon, in return we were getting a 4th Rd Pick in the 2022 Entry Draft and Young two way player Carl Grundstrom.
Grundstrom has played most of his young career in the AHL with the Ontario Reign and Toronto Marlies. in 2018/2019 he played 15 games with the LA Kings where he posted 5 goals and 1 assist.
This move gives us a young star that has proven he can score goals when given the chance. It also allowed us to free up some more space to ensure the future is bright for us moving forward.
