Erik Sloan, the Brewers top left-handed starting pitcher for the past several years, is now on track to return to action sooner than expected. Sloan had surgery in mid-September to repair a partially torn UCL and wasn't originally expected to be able to pitch until about mid-season this year, but given that he should be ready to start a rehab assignment within the next few weeks, it looks like he will back in the rotation in Denver perhaps as soon as the second week of June.
Good news indeed.
