In MLB what-ifs, the Dodgers staying in Brooklyn ranks pretty high.
A key part of that proposal was to build a dome to replace Ebbets Field in the now location of the Barclay's Center. Robert Moses refused planning permission, killing the project and sending the Dodgers west.
There have been a few requests for this specific stadium, so I though I would throw one together for everyone's alternative histories. The dome was supposed to have had 52,000 seats and natural grass. My guess is that they would have figured out what the Astros did and transitioned to astroturf, so I put that in instead. The stadium was supposed to be 380 feet the entire way around, so the stadium will have a lot of doubles and triples and not a lot of home runs.
