I was reading the manual and found the following that ties in to the discussion in this thread. It is regarding the different pitching rating meanings (stuff, movement, control...): "You can see the change in a pitcher's Stuff rating if you change the player's position from SP to MR and back."
I find that very interesting and it shows that you can't rely on the given position a player has. Like always in this game, you have to look closely at ALL the numbers.
