12 July 2297 - Players of the Week

Star of the Week Selected in BL: 19-year-old Danny Honeycutt sent shock waves through Brotherhood League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Brotherhood League Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, Honeycutt made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .636 average, 7 hits in 11 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 runs batted in.

Where the Finch Farm Four Leafs left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Honeycutt certainly made his mark last week.

This season Honeycutt has 8 home runs and a .339 batting average.

Engill Punishes IL Pitchers This Week: Austin Engill has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 19-year-old shortstop of the Abernathy Adamantium had a hot bat in the Institute League over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.

Engill batted .500 with 5 hits in 10 at-bats, 1 home run and 4 RBIs.

This year Engill is hitting .255 with 6 home runs and 34 RBIs in 42 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .370 with 26 walks and 24 runs scored.

Luttrell Picked Best Player: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Minutemen League, but last week Jukebox Luttrell of the University Point Deathclaws reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Luttrell rocked opposing pitching for a .615 average (8-for-13), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.

Luttrell on the season is hitting .397 with 8 home runs. His stats include 29 RBIs and 33 runs scored.

Big Bat Pays Off, Quickwalker Player of the Week: So far in his young career, Deer Quickwalker has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Railroad League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 18-year-old Vault 81 Dwellers right fielder hit at a torrid .583 clip as he collected 7 hits in 12 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

This year Quickwalker is batting .424 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs.
