17 July 2297 - BL: Party Boys Make It 4 Straight with 7-3 Win
The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys picked up a win at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium, knocking off the The Slog Ghouls, 7-3. On the mound for Nordhagen Beach was right-hander Casey Diehl, who played a pivotal role in the win. Diehl, now 5-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 1, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Nordhagen Beach now has a 4-game win streak.
The game could have flipped with one out in the top of the eighth. But Casey Diehl made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 2nd and The Slog trailing 5-2, Diehl threw a forkball to Lernz Tentsleep and Tentsleep hit into a double play.

Easy Town 4 at Finch Farm 12
The timely hitting of Joe Mahaney helped the Finch Farm Four Leafs down the Easy Town Assaultrons, 12-4. Mahaney went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2 for the Four Leafs. With the victory, the Four Leafs upped their record to 23-22.
Finch Farm center fielder Ginger Rogers contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup into left field for a 2-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Four Leafs ahead, 5-2.
County Crossing 4 at Salem 6
The Salem Witch Hats topped the County Crossing Bloodbugs by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Chris Treestump. Treestump was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Witch Hats on the day. Picking up the save was Dan Beantown, his 10th. The Witch Hats sport a record of 17-28.
Joe Rossi had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Salem. He came through with a run-scoring triple to put Salem in front, 4-2.
17 July 2297 - IL: Lady Killers Sneak By Radstags, 8-7
The Starlight Lady Killers defeated the Concord Radstags, 8-7. Doing his part was first baseman Jason Robinson, who went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. John Walden got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The win puts Starlight at 25-20 this season.
Willie Qesadena was the walk-off hero for Starlight. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lady Killers first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This place was rockin'," said Qesadena.

Abernathy 11 at Lexington 4
Jim Waples impressed in the 11-4 Abernathy win over Lexington. Waples, who is tied for 6th in the IL in extra base hits with 24, went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Abernathy is 5th in the Institute League with a record of 21-24.
Abernathy relied on the hitting of Steve Settler to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Adamantium on top, 2-0. For the game, Settler had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Sunshine Tidings 4 at Fort Hagen 8
Micah Morals was a vital contributor to the 8-4 Fort Hagen victory over Sunshine Tidings. The Silver Shroud third baseman went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Oscar Chekhemani was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts. Fort Hagen is 4th in the Institute League with a record of 21-24.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Morals, who is tied for 7th in the IL in hits with 63, hit a solo home run. It propelled the Silver Shroud into the lead, 1-0.
17 July 2297 - ML: Goodneighbor Beats Warwick, 9-5
Goodneighbor right fielder Good Don Duck was a significant contributor in his team's 9-5 triumph over the Warwick Mirelurks. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Goodneighbor. The win gives Goodneighbor a season record of 27-18.
Goodneighbor relied on the hitting of Zachary Utsinger to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Hancocks on top, 2-0. For the game, Utsinger had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Duck.

Quincy 7 at Jamaica Plain 1
Quincy rode a fine outing from starter Ray Human to victory over the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets at Red Rockets Stadium. The final score was 7-1. With the win, Quincy raised its record to 26-19.
It could have been a different outcome for Quincy, had it not been for Stuart Costantino, the fan favorite . Costantino contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Quincy up, 1-0.
Atom 11 at University Point 8
The University Point Deathclaws got a superb performance from center fielder Jukebox Luttrell, but the Atom Cats still won the game, 11-8. Luttrell went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Freedom Williams recorded the save, his 9th. The Cats raised their record to 17-28.
Shane "Bee's Knees" Stabb, who finished 3rd in the ML in RBI with 66 last year, aided the Atom cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
17 July 2297 - RL: T-51s Need Extra Innings to Top Yao Guai, 5-4
No one was more impactful than Jonathan Abern in the 13-inning 5-4 Oberland win over Fairline Hill Estates. Abern, who is tied for 7th in the RL in hits with 67, went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winner in relief was Devon Museum. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Oberland, at 32-13, is 9 games up in the Railroad League.
The T-51s procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Jeremy Bugs. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Put a star next to this win," Abern said.

Egret 2 at Vault 81 6
Starting pitcher Josh Mustang was a major factor in the 6-2 Vault 81 Dwellers triumph over the Egret Scrappers. Vault 81 raised its record to 23-22 with the win.
The Dwellers grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second. With two out, Steve Gunkill, who is on pace for 37 RBI this season, hit a 3-run home run off Ronnie Gipper, putting Vault 81 in front, 4-0. For Gunkill, it was his 9th home run of the season.
Diamond City 6 at Shaw 5
The Diamond City Swatters did just enough to sneak past the Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers, 6-5, at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. Diamond City pitcher Tyler Powers, in particular, had a standout performance. The win puts Diamond City at 18-27.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Powers delivered big-time for Diamond City, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Kyle Clevinger. The game-changing hit put the Swatters on top, 5-4.
17 July 2297 - Hitting Streak Still Alive for Bugs
The Oberland T-51s stopped the Fairline Hill Estates Yao Guai today 5-4 and Jeremy Bugs collected a base hit yet again. The Oberland third baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Bugs told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games."
Jeremy Bugs struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th and hit an RBI single in the 13th.
This year Bugs is hitting .315 with 2 home runs and 28 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .363 clip and scored 35 runs.
