The View from the BMU
by Nat Wright-Kowalski
20 July 2297 - Taffington Boathouse
On certain Tuesdays for the 2297 and 2298 seasons, we will feature one of the settlements where teams in the Boston Minor Union play.
In our first trip around the BMU, we will go to one of the smallest but most peaceful settlements in the BMU, Taffington Boathouse.
Then
When Nate Howard first came to Taffington Boathouse, it was "A two-story pre-War colonial house, formerly inhabited by the Sutton family and currently infested with bloodbugs." Nate blasted away those bugs and then discovered the dead body of Mary Sutton. She had a note that led to a nearby location where he learned of the entire sad demise of the Suttons. Those **** bloodbugs can be vicious and dangerous if you're not pumping them full of radstagshot or laser beams.
After Nate claimed the house as his territory. He considered it a nice central location for traipsing across the northern Commonwealth. It is also rumored that he spent some quiet weekends there with some of his companions, like Irish Cait, Marie Curie, Heather Casden, and another female companions I refuse to name.
Now
Nate still uses the house as an occasional weekend vacation spot. The area around has become a small settlement with some trading through fisheries and trapping. The settlement is close to Covenant, which has been used as a rehabilitation compound in the past after it was freed from a synthicide cult.
