6 August 2297 - BL: Ghouls Down Bloodbugs, 10-7
Ghouls center fielder Millioncap Go put his stamp on his team's 10-7 win over the County Crossing Bloodbugs. Go went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for The Slog in the contest. The Slog pitcher David Kiwi got the win, upping his record to 9-3. Zach DiGrande got the loss. Wonder Boy Fultz closed the game out for The Slog, earning his 10th save.
Stoop Bugwing swatted a 2-run home run for The Slog in the bottom of the first. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"This team is on a mission," said Go, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
The Slog is now 32-21, 5½ games up in the Brotherhood League.

Salem 12 at Easy Town 2
The Salem Witch Hats beat the Easy Town Assaultrons, 12-2. Salem pitcher and Walpole, Massachusetts, native Terrence Artman led the way. Salem is last in the Brotherhood League with a record of 23-30.
The Witch Hats got a big hit from right fielder Chris Treestump. In the top of the sixth, Treestump pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 10th home run of the season put the Witch Hats ahead, 12-2.
Nordhagen Beach 9 at Finch Farm 8
The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys rallied from a 7-2 deficit late in the game to steal a win at Finch Family Park. A 4-RBI performance from second baseman Brian Masterson, who leads the BL in runs scored with 61, led the Boys to a win over the Finch Farm Four Leafs, 9-8. Nordhagen Beach reliever Chet Arthur picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Steve Warwar was saddled with the loss. Sia Abber closed it out for his 15th save.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Taboo Richardson came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Finch Farm pitcher Steve Warwar, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Nordhagen Beach on top, 9-8.
With the win and Easy Town Assaultrons loss, the Party Boys now sit in sole possession of second place in the Brotherhood League.
6 August 2297 - DHPL: Robotics Experts Clip Strongbacks, Clinch Playoffs
General Atomics Galleria Robotics Experts starter Chris Deathclaw pitched a strong game against the Outpost Zimonja Strongbacks at General Atomics Galleria Park, leading the Robotics Experts to victory, 4-3. Bull Johnson recorded the save, his 1st. The losses continue to mount for Outpost Zimonja, which has now dropped 6 in a row. The Robotics Experts have now earned a spot in the Dark Hollow Pond League championship series.
"It feels good to know we made the playoffs in our first year," General Atomics Galleria manager Alfredo Barios said.
Jim White, who is rated as the 50th best prospect by BNN, aided the General Atomics Galleria cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager David Troutman.
6 August 2297 - IL: Synths Need Extra Frames to Get Past Lady Killers
Lexington third baseman Justin Daros had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Starlight Lady Killers, 6-5, in 11 innings. The Lady Killers have now dropped 7 straight.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Daros hit a curveball from Larry Undertaker for a solo home run. The Synths, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
Daros said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."

Fort Hagen 11 at Abernathy 5
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud grabbed a win, 11-5, over the Abernathy Adamantium at Tato Field. Fort Hagen first baseman Jim Tiller went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. The loss makes Abernathy 25-28.
Fort Hagen relied on the hitting of Sam Noob to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Silver Shroud on top, 7-2. For the game, Noob had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Sunshine Tidings 7 at Concord 4
The Sunshine Tidings Chemists downed the Concord Radstags, 7-4. The hitting star was second baseman Josh Noob. Noob went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Chemists. Sunshine Tidings now has a 7-game win streak.
Frank Corsica, who is tied for 6th in the IL in hits with 77, aided the Sunshine Tidings cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles.
6 August 2297 - ML: Deathclaws Win at Warwick, 6-3
University Point and Warwick duked it out and the Deathclaws came out victorious.
University Point Deathclaws starter William Radwater was in fine form against the Warwick Mirelurks at The Homestead, leading his team to a win, 6-3. Radwater, now 7-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs.
University Point used the clutch hitting of Greg Shallowwater to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Deathclaws ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"It feels good to get this one," Radwater told the University Point News.
The Deathclaws raised their record to 26-27.

Jamaica Plain 2 at Goodneighbor 9
Getting offensive support from Bryan Assman, the Goodneighbor Hancocks topped the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets, 9-2. Assman went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hancocks. The win gives Goodneighbor a season record of 32-21.
Assman had a key at-bat for Goodneighbor early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and gave Goodneighbor an early 2-0 lead.
Quincy 3 at Atom 17
Atom first baseman Will Ashfire helped his team beat the Quincy Gunners, 17-3. Ashfire, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2296 draft, went 4 for 4 for the Cats. The win has Atom at 21-32.
The Cats got a big hit from catcher Garrett Machine. In the bottom of the seventh, Machine pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 8th home run of the season put the Cats ahead, 17-1.
6 August 2297 - Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Luttrell
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Jukebox Luttrell did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at The Homestead today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 17-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the University Point Deathclaws beat the Warwick Mirelurks 6-3 today.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Luttrell told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the University Point clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day."
Jukebox Luttrell grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
For the year Luttrell is hitting .393 with 12 home runs. His stats include 42 RBI and 41 runs scored.
6 August 2297 - RL: Dwellers Walk-off Punchers, 10-9, in 11
The timely hitting of Mark Dombrowski helped the Vault 81 Dwellers down the Shaw HS Knuckle Punchers, 10-9. Dombrowski slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 5 runs and driving in 2 for the Dwellers. The third-place Dwellers have a record of 26-27.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the 11th, with Vault 81 trailing 9-7, Bubb Islander hit a cutter from James Hickory for a 3-run home run, giving the Dwellers the walk-off win.
"Exciting game to play in," said Dombrowski. "Getting the win makes it even better."

Oberland 7 at Egret 2
Oberland T-51s starter Gerald Jerry turned in a top-notch performance against the Egret Scrappers at Fallon Field at Egret Tours Marina. The result was a win for the T-51s, 7-2. The triumph puts Oberland at 38-15 for the season.
The Scrappers had trouble solving Jerry, who surrendered 2 runs on 4 hits over 9 innings.
Fairline Hill Estates 9 at Diamond City 2
Fairline Hill Estates starter Sage Monticello kept the Diamond City hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-2. Diamond City, at 19-34, has lost 7 straight.
Monticello tossed 110 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Yao Guai. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.
