3 OF 4 IPA PLAYOFFS GO THE LIMIT IN 1ST ROUND
How about the Islandian Pro Alliance postseason playoffs?... three of the four series will go the limit... Claxton-LaGrange, Colfax-Wynnamac and Rolling Hills-Tuckanarra will all feature a 7th-game finale to decide the first-round action... there is nothing better in sports than a 7th-and-decisive game... and the IPA has three of them... only the Southport Sun Sox and Hartsdale Hellcats failed to go the distance in the best-of-seven series... the Sun Sox spoiled a true fanatical feast by sweeping the Hellcats in five games.
Defending Pro Cup champion Claxton just barely kept its back-to-back Pro Cup hopes alive by forcing a seventh game with the tough LaGrange Gators... the Diamonds' great pitching saved their season by shutting out the Gators 4-0 and staving off first-round elimination... Wynnamac evened its series at three wins apiece with Colfax, trouncing the Black Sox 9-3... and Pro Cup favorite Rolling Hills staved off elimination with a dramatic 5-2 comeback victory over the feisty Tuckanarra Tiger Cats... the Racers did not go home for the season... their Pro Cup aspirations are still alive.
