16 August 2297 - Nerd Ragers' Cecil Injured by Attack Dog
A lone attack dog without an apparent owner got the better of Phil Cecil's throwing arm last night, injuring the College Square Nerd Ragers' best pitcher.
The injury is not considered serious, but Cecil will need to be treated for his wounds to prevent infection. He was sent to Kendall Hospital in Cambridge to receive treatment.
On the season, Cecil was 11-3 with a 2.79 ERA in 132.1 innings pitched. He allowed 41 earned runs on 119 hits with 45 walks and 144 strikeouts. He allowed only five home runs on the season for the Concord Radstags' minor league team.
College Square will meet the Bunker Hill Gun Fu in the Cambridge League Championship, a three-game series between the top two teams of the regular season. Due to the timing of the injury, he will not be able to pitch Games 1 or 2.
Team officials are asking for an investigation into the incident since it is not common to find raider's dogs without an owner nearby. CBO officials have a gambling task force that looks into sabotage of players and other influences that may affect the outcomes of games.
16 August 2297 - Shaw Reliever Injured Cleaning Gun
