In a tight affair between the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys and the Easy Town Assaultrons, pitcher Julian Shed was in the zone. The Nordhagen Beach left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. The win for the Party Boys raised their record to 32-29 and earns them the wildcard spot for the Brotherhood League in the CBO playoffs.
Shed allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Party Boys. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
"Julian is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Nordhagen Beach manager Craig Robinson.
Tommy Talkington's 10th home run of the season, a solo shot, tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 7th. He also drove in the winning run in the 8th on a sacrifice fly.
