I doubt it's a huge factor, but if it makes players more confident and therefore more likely to just make contact with the ball, I'm for it. |
To me it's interesting how whenever a player tried to cite a number about what was changing they were just downright wrong lol. groundball hit rate is actually the same. 2-0 fastball rate hasn't changed. runs aren't down.
At the end of the day we are still seeing a similar number of runs scored per game so its hard to make the case that one side is way out of balance. Id like to see if we could get there with reduced strikeouts but then something has to give from the offensive side too.
