23 September 2297 - County Crossing Signs GM
Stating that he already had someone in mind for the position when he fired GM Mike Pieface, County Crossing owner Doc Weathers announced that the team had hired Dan Dall to be the team GM.
Dall has not previously worked in baseball, but he was an operating manager for Fallon's Department Store and recently ran a successful political campaign for Dr. Stanley Carrington's mayoral push in Malden.
Per a release from Weathers' office: "Dan Dall is sucessful at everything he does. He is loyal to both his superiors and inferiors. He will fight for those beneath him, which raises morale all around. We believe he will help improve our team chemistry and find the right fits in the organization, from coaches to the 30th man on the minor league team. We are pleased he is joining our team."
25 September 2297 - Easy Town Assaultrons Ship Libow to Abernathy
The players apparently knew they were on the trading block, so it did not surprise one of them when he learned that he had been traded to Easy Town.
"Got my bags packed already," Looter Knol said when reached for comment.
The Assaultrons will receive 19-year-old minor league 2B Knol, while 31-year-old SS Lucky Libow will go to the Abernathy Adamantium.
Libow played in limited action with Easy Town in 2297. He was 1 for 13 on the season with a run and an RBI.
Knol played 13 games with the Bunker Hill Gun Fu before moving up to Abernathy. There he played in only 10 games, going 0 for 8 in 11 plate appearances (.273 OBP).
25 September 2297 - Bloodbugs Sign Fields at BC
Former Starlight Lady Killers bench coach Adam Fields is moving east to County Crossing. Fields takes over for recently fired Jason Personhood who allegedly had a compromising situation with County Crossing owner Doc Owens' daughter, leading to his firing.
Fields was a part of the Starlight Lady Killers' staff that started the season 21-9 but ended up at just 28-32 on the season.
