I am not even checking if rookies are correct here. Whoever OOTP picks, that person is the top rookie, even if he played 60 games in 2296. With the change next season by creating a new league and putting all teams there, the rookie factor will probably be messed up again.

Abber Is BL's Best Rookie: It was a productive season for Nordhagen Beach reliever Sia Abber. He put up some impressive figures with 18 saves in 18 save opportunities -- figures so impressive that the Brotherhood League honored him with the Recruit Rookie Award for 2297.

The bullpen ace notched 4 wins and 2 losses while compiling a 2.81 ERA. In 32 innings, Sia Abber yielded 26 base hits, struck out 0 and walked 12. Opposition batters hit .217 against him.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 6. Wonder Boy Fultz of the The Slog Ghouls finished second in voting, while Biter Trout of the County Crossing Bloodbugs finished third with 1 first place vote.

Institute League Picks Top Rookie: A good season in the Abernathy Adamantium bullpen brought T-Bone Heagy the 2297 Newborn Synth Award in the Institute League.

In 25 relief appearances he tallied 30 innings, 22 strikeouts, 9 saves and an impressive 2.40 ERA. The Abernathy relief ace compiled a 1-1 record, walked 7 walks and held opposing batters to a .272 batting average.

He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 6. George Cincinnatus of the Starlight Lady Killers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Tom Sweeney of the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud finished third.
