30 October 2297 - Flamers Pitcher to Take Leave
Corvega Assembly Plant Flamers relief pitcher Griffin Fowler is taking a break from baseball.
The 18-year-old Sunshine Tidings prospect was unhappy in his designated role as junior coach and decided a short break from the game might do him good.
"I'm going to go help out my parents' business in Natick," Fowler said. "I asked Ms. McGovern if it is OK, and she said she cared more about my mental health than if I could win baseball games. That's what I need, mental health."
Fowler appeared in four games in 22987 with the Flamers. He was 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in 5.0 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits with three walks and 11 strikeouts.
