Why does the new GM need to be patient? Because his/her team won’t exist until about five or six months from now.
We just started our 1954 season; we are expanding by two teams in 1955 and two more in 1956. A season takes us about 2 1/2-to-3 months. We already have GMs for the two 1955 expansion teams and a GM for one of the 1956 expansion teams. We just need one more. The vacant expansion team will play in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
We’ve decided it’s a good idea to get the expansion GMs on board early so they can be on Slack and be a part of the discussions that shape the league.
