1 April 2298 - Deathclaws Minor Leaguer Breaks Hand in Fight
Boston Common 1B Chris Shields broke his hand in a post-game fight with Egret Ninjas minor league reliever Mike Stickhouse following their game tonight.
Shields was not happy with Stickhouse's pitching, and attacked him after the game. Stickhouse ducked, causing Shields to strike the top of Stickhouse's head. Stickhouse was not injured.
Shields will now miss most of April. No suspension is expected once he returns.
4 April 2298 - Warwick-FHE Trade
Earlier today, officials from the Warwick Mirelurks and the FHE Yao Guai announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 28-year-old 2B Richman Harris and 18-year-old minor league RF Marty Fischer to FHE in exchange for 32-year-old 1B Shawn Synthman and a 4th round draft pick. All players in the deal are expected to play at the BMU level.
