10 April 2298 - Great Green Jewel Leveled Up
The Diamond City Swatters organization is on an extended road trip, so the stadium crew at the Great Green Jewel is simulating its new digital scoreboard in center field.
"We have a scoreboard and a simple box score screen working right now," Swatters owner Moe Cronin said. "Other than Starlight playing movies and other videos on their left field screen, we will have the first digital scoreboard in the league."
Cronin said he was working to make the screen work like a TV. "We're putting resources in to live replays and live video. It would be awesome to see more than just the TV broadcast. I want people to watch the TV here, too."
10 April 2298 - Southie, Radstags Get 1-0 Win
Concord picked up a win at Tarberry Field Forever, toppling the The Slog Ghouls, 1-0. Pitcher Gwinnett Southie was one of the reasons the Radstags triumphed. The loss has the Ghouls at 2-3.
Southie earned the win to move to 2-0. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 6 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Ghouls few scoring opportunities.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Southie told the Concord Daily.
10 April 2298 - Easy Town Wins, Metalbox Scores 3 Runs
Led by Jarrett Metalbox, the Easy Town Assaultrons defeated the Starlight Lady Killers, 16-4. Metalbox was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Assaultrons. The winner was Angel Waterdrink, who threw 136 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 5 hits. The win gives Easy Town a record of 4-1.
In the first inning, Metalbox had a 3-run home run for Easy Town. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Assaultrons on top, 5-0.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Metalbox.
