Pam? Pam? More like SPam.
Chet Arthur is off to the most miserable of starts, 0-2, 10.80 ERA, in his first season as a starter. Why is he pitching above Shed and Diehl in the rotation?!? Sia Abber blew save opportunity, resulting in a loss in Shed's only start so far, so now he has been demoted to set up while Night Demon Archaki is jumping into the closer's role. When I leave this pitching rotation up to Craig Robinson and pitching coach Trevor Bayless, they seem to do screwy things. I almost want to take them over!
But I won't. I am just the moderator of these affairs! Last year, the BIG change in success was the pitching staff, especially the bullpen, stepping up their game in the second half of the season. In Week 1, the Party Boys are dead last (7.31) in bullpen ERA. Other than Arthur's poor pitching (hello bullpen 2297), the starters are 4th in ERA (4.10).
