Walkers news: May 2 -- Grand Rapids 3, St. Louis 1

Record: 14-16, 3rd (Tied/w. Des Moines), 3 GB Quad City
Led by 5.1 scoreless innings from Gerardo Guerra, Grand Rapids shut out St. Louis into the ninth inning, and the Traders downed the River Walkers 3-1 at the Polo Grounds (1923).
Guerra (3-1) allowed three hits in his 5.1 innings. He struck out five and walked two.
Ian Hamilton retired every batter he faced while finishing the sixth inning and working a silent seventh.,
Zachary Stella didn't allow a run in the eighth.
Oscar Martinez did allow a pinch-hit homer to Edward Olivares in in the ninth, but nothing else to earn his sixth save.
Marcos Francis opened the scoring with a two-out solo homer off River Walkers starter Wilson Lara in the fourth inning.
Zach Prajzner drew a lead-off walk from Lara in the sixth, and later, after a wild pitch,m scored on a Alex Freeland single.
Levi Usher's solo homer off Lara in the seventh made it 3-0.
