* RHP Kim Chae-bong gets the start for the Pacific League, thanks to his 0.79 WHIP and 2.58 ERA over 104 2/3 IP
* RHP Shigejiro Matsumoto joins him, with a gaudy 13.9 K/9 and 0.83 WHIP over 105 1/3 IP
* LHP Narihira Kimura's swingman season gets him a nomination, with a 10.4 K/9 and 3.54 ERA in 76 1/3 IP
* LHP Kikaku Nakayama's in the same boat, going with a 2.30 ERA, 1 WHIP, and 10.7 K/9 over 47 IP
* 3B Koji Kashima will start for the PL at third, thanks to his .275/.330/.428 slash line and 11 HRs
* Although he's injured, RF Luis Alejandrez's .340/.381/.530 was good enough to get a starting job. Shame he can't participate.

* In a move that may raise eyebrows, the Arrows sent SS Kinya Yamamoto to the Orix Buffaloes for #37 prospect Masami Matsuura. Matsuura's showing himself to be a leadership early in his career, and it gives Fuminori Ishizaki a chance to shine at short.
