20 April 2298 - Ridin' High: Fugate Hits for Cycle

Finishing with 5 hits is a great day for any player, but Notorious Fugate made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at Cabot House Square today.

Fugate had 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run for the Haymarket Mall Commandos and led them to a 9-4 decision over the Cabot House Rayguns. The shortstop also finished with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI.

"Awesome," Fugate said when asked how the accomplishment felt.

Notorious Fugate doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, tripled in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Silton Bean in the 9th.

So far this year, Fugate is batting .400 with 1 home run and 6 RBIs.

20 April 2298 - Danse 3-3, Leads Ninjas to Win

Led by Paladin Danse, the Egret Ninjas downed the Quincy Gunners, 12-8. Danse was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Ninjas. Shawn Simms earned the save for Egret, his 1st of the year. The Ninjas have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.

Kyle Boohoo went 1 for 3 with a walk for Egret. The 18-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Rapid Roberts. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

"We got the victory," said Danse. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

20 April 2298 - McIntyre Goes Wild, But Party Boys Win

Despite a great performance by Concord second baseman Josh McIntyre, the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys defeated the Radstags by the score of 11-9 at Nuka Park. McIntyre went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The loss puts Concord at 3-9.

Nordhagen Beach needed the clutch hitting of Tomas Jones to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Party Boys on top, 8-7. For the game, Jones had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Jones told the Nordhagen Beach News.

20 April 2298 - Pawlak goes 3-for-4 in Silver Shroud Win

A good performance from center fielder Ben Pawlak helped the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud defeat the Easy Town Assaultrons, 7-6. Pawlak went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Silver Shroud. Curtis Thriceshot closed it out for his 5th save. Fort Hagen is off to a hot start at 9-3.

Sam Noob, who is tied for 4th in the NCA in total bases with 38, chipped in for Fort Hagen with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

20 April 2298 - Cats Win at Diamond City, 5-2

Starting pitcher Jesse Emacipated was a major factor in the 5-2 Atom Cats triumph over the Diamond City Swatters. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Freedom Williams. The loss has the Swatters at 8-4.

It could have been a different outcome for Atom, had it not been for Shane "Bee's Knees" Stabb, the 21-year old third baseman . Stabb contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Atom up, 4-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Emacipated told the Atom Citizen.
