Jake Holland connected on a two-run, two-out double in the top of the 14th inning to lift Rockford to a 6-4 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium (1997).
River Walkers reliever Ricky Cisneros retired the first two batters for the Lightining in the 14th.
But Cordell Dunn and Christian Moore both reached on singles.
Holland then broke a tie which had stood since the St. Louis had tied it in the bottom of the ninth with his double.
A solo homer from Jackson Lueck off Walkers reliever Travis Krogman inthe top of the ninth had put the Lightining in front 4-3.
St. Louis answered in the bottom of the inning.
Reliever Edwin Diaz hit lead-off batter Jose Seguara with a pitch.
Segura moved to second when Jordan Groshans reached on an error by Diaz.
Segura scored on an Alek Thomas single.
Rockford starting pitcher Travis Gettemy worked the first five innings, allowing three runs on five hits.
The Lightning followed Gettemy with seven relievers.
They were James Pazos (1.0 IP), Michele Vassalotti (2.0), Diaz (1.0), Luis Palomo (2.0), Luis Severino (0.2), Jake Woodford (1.1) and Rick Sessions (1.1).
Woodford (4-0) came out of the marathon with the win. Sessions notched his first save.
