Retro League Baseball is a historical fiction MLB league, starting 1871 with a spin.
8 teams and a 30 round draft. Choose one of the original teams that played in 1871 and re-write history!

This is your chance to see if the Rockford Forest Citys don't fade into obscurity, or maybe the Boston team can't take hold and relocates. If your fanbase doesn't get behind you you'll have to move on to greener pastures. No teams will fold, but you may be required to move. Teams available to you will be based on MLB history, but what you make of history is up to you.

Rosters will consist mostly of historical players making their appropriate debut with some fictional players mixed in to fill the league out when needed.

To add a early competition the 8 teams will be split into NL and AL to have a World Series from inception. Due to the smaller team base to start, "interleague play" will occur.

How the league unfolds will be largely decided by the league as well. Each offseason items will be placed up for a vote to determine the evolution of the league.

About the Commissioner - Boston
I've been playing in OOTP privately and in online leagues since version 12. This is my first time running an online league, but I am experienced in running retro sports leagues (10+ years experience).

Who should join
Those looking for a fun experience with a little storytelling and comradery are going to enjoy the league. I am looking for dedicated players who are comfortable with our sim schedule (found below) and patience if any hiccups occur. I don't anticipate any issues, but this is my first time running a league.

Reserve Roster instead of Minor Leagues to start
Ratings: 20-80 scale
