Upcoming Rule Changes
1. A new league has been created in the Canadian region - the Canadian League (Rep = 4) will launch with 10 teams as a secondary league to Baseball Canada. One team will be Promoted/Relegated between each league.
2. The PLC has expanded by two teams to a total of 24 clubs.
3. As a result, the Americas Cup will grow from 32 to 36 teams - to fill the new positions, the USBA will send a 5th representative, the LL will send a 3rd representative, the UBL will send a 2nd representative, and the new CL will send its champion.
4. The EBL has expanded by four teams to a total of 22 teams.
5. The BASR has expanded by two teams to a total of 20 teams.
6. A secondary league has been created in the Eastern Bloc region - BASR2 (Rep = 1), which will begin with 8 teams and have a one team Promotion/Relegation setup with BASR.
7. As a result, the Eurasian Challenge will grow from 24 to 28 teams - to fill the new positions, the EPL will send a 10th representative, the EBL will send a 7th representative, and BASR2 will send its top 2 teams.
8. Additionally, the Eurasian Challenge will now seed its teams based on the League Rep x Win% formula used by the other regional tournaments.
9. The APBL has expanded by two teams to a total of 16 teams.
10. The AuBL has expanded by two teams to a total of 10 teams.
11. The Pacific Challenge has altered its bid allocation as follows - the APBL will send 7 representatives instead of 6, and the AuBL will send 4 representatives instead of 5.
