"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Slingshot. "And not try to do too much."

22 May 2298 - Salem Trades Schmidt for FHE's Brahmin
Fans in Salem woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 26-year-old 3B Pistol Schmidt to the FHE Yao Guai. In return, the Witch Hats will receive 29-year-old 3B Ian Brahmin, 19-year-old minor league 3B Hawk Callaway, and a 3rd round draft pick.
This year Schmidt has hit at a .261 pace and produced 19 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 17 runs. While he has been one of Salem's better hitters, a Friday night incident indicates that the team's relationship with Schmidt was on the rocks.
So far this year in 6 games Brahmin is hitting .200 with no home runs, 0 RBIs and no runs scored. He is expected to take over Schmidt's starting role at third base with the Witch Hats. Also, he has good leadership skills and is intelligent on and off the field. Despite not playing much in FHE, he was considered popular in the clubhouse, something Salem desperately needs.
Responding to the news that he would be joining the Yao Guai, who are struggling just like the Witch Hats, Schmidt said, "Thank Atom!" He had no other comments.
Salem did not respond to further questions about the incident and whether or not it related to the trade. However, center fielder Mike Castillo and starting pitcher Terrence Artman appeared in good spirits following the news. Neither commented upon our request.
