I can't tell you how surprised I was when I saw my first instance of a base runner getting caught in a rundown between 2nd & 3rd base. Back and forth the runner went along with the baseball tossed between infielders. I have seen one additional rundown between 3rd base and home plate since that first instance. When I saw the rundown for the very first time, I remember having a huge grin on my face...I thought it was fantastic that the OOTP developers implemented such a situation. I still feel that way and I am very thankful that it doesn't happen often.
I don't believe I would feel quite the same way about a base runner tripping as he rounds one of the bases, but that's just me.
