Mystic Pines's Q Chosen CA Batter of the Month: In May, Ruben Q swung a sweet bat and put together a solid month to win the Commonwealth Association Batter of the Month.
The Mystic Pines third baseman batted .463 with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
Kurt Kilgore Winner in May: At only 20 years of age, Kurt Kilgore could very well be having many more months like the last this in his career.
That would be great news for fans of the Somerville Place Sentry Bots, as May was one to remember for the center fielder and he has captured the Massachusetts Association Batter of the Month award.
On the month he hit .424 with 2 home runs, 27 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Demps CA Winner, Top Hurler in May: Aaron Demps has made fans throughout Boston Minor Union take notice over the past month with an exceptional 4-0 record. No pitcher in the Commonwealth Association threw better in May, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today for the Greentop Nursery Night People star.
In 4 starts Demps compiled a 0.61 ERA, putting up a 4-0 record, striking out 38 and tossing 29.1 innings. On the season he is 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA.
MA's Top Starter is Gipper: Somerville Place starter Ronnie Gipper claimed the Massachusetts Association Pitcher of the Month Award today with his strong performance in May.
The 29-year-old starter tossed 25 innings of solid baseball, putting up a 1.80 ERA, 23 strikeouts and a 4-0 record in 4 starts. Gipper is 5-1 with a 2.43 ERA so far in the 2298 campaign.
