Starting Pitcher of the Month -- Zack Hunsinger -- The 30-year-old right-hander has shined since being acquired in mid-July in a trade with Louisville. His 6-0 record in six starts, which earned him NL Pitcher of the Month honors, was accompanied by a 1.07 ERA. In 42.0 innings, he struck out 22 and had a 1.00 WHIP.
Relief Pitcher of the Month -- Ernesto Barbosa -- The 28-year-old closer was again dominant going 1-0 in 11 games with eight saves and a 1.38 ERA. He pitched a total of 13 innings, during which he struck out 16 and had a 1.00 WHIP.
