I'd think that too....but this happens with every transfer attempt no matter what league I attempt to negotiate a transfer. And typically, I've seen a message to that affect that the team wasn't interested in trading...though I've never seen this for transfers. Could be a low priority bug issue in the game, don't know. But when I'm playing in challenge mode, and trying to build my reputation, I need one or two key players due to mostly injuries, a few underperforms on my 3rd and 4th line. I released a veteran (31) I had obtained through free agency, but in 20 plus games produced next to nothing in goals and assistants, but he did take some penalties late in two games that seemingly cost a victory or overtime opportunity.
