August review – pitchers
Pitching and defense are keeping us afloat.
1st in: Runs Allowed, Starter ERA, Bullpen ERA, FIP and Zone Rating. 2nd in pitching WAR
Mark Langston had a 0.95 ERA and 57 FIP- in 46 August innings.
Hershiser, Belcher and Astacio all had ERA's below 3.00 and FIP-'s below 100.
Darren Holmes' 3.27 ERA was the “worst” for the bullpen.
