The View from the BMU
by Nat Wright-Kawolski
21 June 2298 – Eastlake
On certain Tuesdays for the 2297 and 2298 seasons, we will feature one of the settlements where teams in the Boston Minor Union play.
In our fifteenth trip around the BMU, we will go to the location of a stopover location and the least populated established settlement in the Commonwealth, the defensive outpost of Eastlake.

Not on the Map
Eastlake, a small settlement outpost controlled by the Brotherhood of Steel just east of Lake Cochituate, is not a recognized map point because it was recently established as a defensive outpost to prevent creatures from congregating and causing damage to caravans and travelers moving from the west banks of the Charles River to other locations around the lake and south near the Glowing Sea.

The central outpost is located at the former Electrical Hobbyist's Club. Eastlake is directly between Mass Pike Interchange and Vault 95 on its north-south axis. It is also across Lake Cochituate from Natick Banks and due west of the WRVR Station, which is across the Charles River from Egret Tours Marina.
Lake Cochituate
According to a terminal, Lake Cochituate is "a relatively large lake with a few locations on its shoreline, such as the Poseidon reservoir to the northwest, Natick Banks including its police department to the west, an unmarked pre-War military checkpoint to the southwest and the Mass Fusion disposal site to the southeast."
