2 July 2298 - Ghouls Rough Up Four Leafs, 11-2, Move into 2nd

The The Slog Ghouls beat the Finch Farm Four Leafs, 11-2, at Finch Family Park. Boots Yellowhair, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Slog now has a record of 35-29 with the win.

The Slog used the bat of Kyle Whale to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Ghouls ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Things went our way," said Yellowhair.

The Ghouls' C.T. Woodard led all players in hits. He was 4 for 4 with four runs scored and an RBI.

2 July 2298 - Beebe Excels in 7-1 Starlight Win

The Starlight Lady Killers defeated the Abernathy Adamantium, 7-1, at Valentine Detective Agency Field today. Leading the charge for Starlight was right fielder Damani Beebe. He went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win for the Lady Killers raised their record to 35-29, placing them just one game back of the Adamantium for first place in the Institute League.

Jesus Church hit a 2-run home run off Kyle Clevinger in the bottom of the first, which put the Lady Killers ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Church had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 5.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Abernathy manager Chase Stingwing.

2 July 2298 - Hancocks Stick Gunners with 9-6 Loss

The Goodneighbor Hancocks downed the Quincy Gunners, 9-6, at Third Rail Stadium at S. Boston HS. The Hancocks were led by Good Don Duck. He went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. Quincy Eloquent got the win, improving to 10-5. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Goodneighbor is now 44-20, 9 games up in the South Charles Association Minutemen League.

Goodneighbor took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Burtie Cuttooth stroked a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Hancocks.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Duck said.

2 July 2298 - Lacy Helps Diamond City Cruise to 11-0 Win

The Diamond City Swatters had no problem beating the Roxbury Knuckle Punchers, 11-0, at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. Wayne Lacy led the way and continued his CBO MVP push. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Diamond City. X10-44 Mannson got credit for the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 6.1 innings. The Swatters bumped their record to 32-32 with this win.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Prince Billingsley? The Diamond City left fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Swatters on top, 3-0. For the game, Billingsley had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Lacy said after the game.

2 July 2298 - Masterson Hits 2 Home Runs in Party Boys Win

Spirited fans greeted the Easy Town Assaultrons for their clash with the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys.

The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys downed the Easy Town Assaultrons, 8-2, at Easy Town Field. Brian Masterson led the way, going 3-for-3 for Nordhagen Beach. Nordhagen Beach improves to 39-25 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.

Michael Fogcrawler, the top prospect, had a direct impact on the outcome. Fogcrawler contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Nordhagen Beach up, 4-0. It was his 21st of the season, putting him one behind teammate Dustin Mart for the NCA lead.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Fogcrawler told the Nordhagen Beach News.
