The Shizuoka Volley - July 1, 2043
Arrows updates, quick and on target!

* For the first time in franchise history, the Shizuoka Arrows are sole Interleague Champions!! Their 17-7 record wasn't the best in franchise history, but it was the best in the league this year.
* That moves the Arrows to 47-32, 6 games back of the Orix Buffaloes (who went 15-9 in interleague despite a 13-game win streak) and into second place
* Koichi Yoshinaga fell out of the rotation, with Moritake Hara joining the rotation and going 13 innings without allowing a run over his first two starts
* Arrows manager Paul Paez announced that Nobuhiro Saito would be getting more starts at 2B over Nobuyoshi Ito heading into the All-Star Break, giving the new kid a chance
* No rumours yet for trades, but you know GM tehsuigi is keeping his ear to the ground. And that includes hiring his successor as Assistant GM this offseason!
* Last note - the Arrows acquired ex-Giants prospect Shissho Takaki from Honda in the industrial leagues; he's reported to AAA Shinano and could contribute to the rotation soon.
