Walkers news: February 10 -- Walkers deal Alek Thomas to QC for LHP Acosta
The St. Louis River Walkers have traded left-handed hitting outfielder Alek Thomas to Quad City, in exchange for left-handed relief pitcher Elian Acosta.
Thomas, 31, has been with the Walkers, outside of one season in Dayton, since 2024 during which he has batted .299 with 55 homers and 399 RBIs in 1,361 games.
However, he didn't play near those numbers in 2030, hitting just .220 with two homers and 20 RBIs in 117 games.
Acosta, also 31, pitched in 72 games in 2030 for Louisville and Quad City.
He owned a 3-6 record, earning 21 saves and posting a 4.33 ERA.
For his career, he has pitched in 323 games going 19-20 with 42 saves and a 4.04 ERA.
