14 July 2298 - Oberland-Lexington Trade: Ciccone, Nightcap for Neofotistos

In a hastily called press conference, Oberland announced today a trade with Lexington that will send 19-year-old minor league RHP Chris Ciccone and 20-year-old minor league LF Whiskey Nightcap to the Synths in exchange for 27-year-old C Dan Neofotistos. All players are expected to be in their respective new cities in time for today's games.

In 41 games Neofotistos is hitting .170 this season with 23 hits, 6 home runs, 21 RBIs, 26 walks, .313 OBP and has scored 17 runs.

14 July 2298 - Vault 81 Dwellers Ship Gold to University Point

A trade was announced today at a press conference in Vault 81. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Vault 81 Dwellers general manager shook things up by acquiring 19-year-old RHP Dave Caveman, 24-year-old minor league 3B Matt Dupermart, 24-year-old minor league LHP Tennessee Tailor and a 4th round draft pick from the University Point Deathclaws for 26-year-old 1B Erns Gold and a 5th round draft pick.

"We may not be a better team now," Dwellers general manager Mike McGuire said, "but we've added several pieces to the puzzle."

So far this year Gold is batting .262 with 19 home runs, 45 RBIs, and 43 runs scored.

During this season Caveman has made 22 relief appearances, earning a 2-1 record with no saves. In 21.1 innings Caveman has struck out 26 with a 2.95 ERA.

Tailor appeared in 29 games as a reliever for Boston Common. In 33.1 innings, he was 2-6 with 13 saves.

14 July 2298 - BMU: Bishop Walk-Off Clinches Series for Trinity Plaza

The Trinity Plaza Snipers topped the Somerville Place Sentry Bots, 4-3, in Massachusetts Association action at Memory Den Field. The standout performance belonged to Trinity Plaza pitcher and Peabody, Massachusetts, native Jason Pingleton. The winner in relief was Ken Windhammer. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Trinity Plaza now has a record of 28-23 with the win.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Trinity Plaza trailing 3-2, Jason Bishop hit a forkball from Mike Hove for a 2-run home run, giving the Snipers the walk-off win.

Bishop described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.

14 July 2298 - BMU: Blueprint Slugs Lead Bellies to 8-4 Win

The Boston Common Lead Bellies beat the Eastlake Aquaboys, 8-4, at The Outpost. Boston Common center fielder Kelvin Blueprint had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. Boston Common pitcher Alex Fonseca got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Robbie League got the loss. With the victory, the Lead Bellies record now stands at 22-29.

Blueprint had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch curveball from Ryan Lemme, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Lead Bellies a 8-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Blueprint.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Blueprint.

14 July 2298 - Uglyhair Helps Natick Banks Cruise to 12-3 Win

Jim Uglyhair was a major contributor to the 12-3 Natick Banks win over Postal Square. The Big Leaguers center fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7. Lurch Toland got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Natick Banks leads the Massachusetts Association Glowing Sea League by 6½ games.

With Natick Banks leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Uglyhair hit a fastball from Rickey Schoolmaster for a grand slam home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Big Leaguers ahead, 7-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Uglyhair told the Natick Banks Times.

Special Notes: Dana Torres ties the MA regular season game record for runs with 4. Jim Uglyhair ties the MA regular season game record for RBI with 7.

14 July 2298 - BMU: Scram Hits 2 home runs in Grognaks Win

The Malden Grognaks downed the Corvega Flamers, 9-7, at Corvega Stadium. Brian Scram led the way, going 2-for-3 for Malden. Malden starter Dobbie Radoncis was credited with the win after throwing 77 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-8. The Grognaks go to 16-35 with the win.

With Malden leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Scram hit a changeup from Billy Faulkner for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Grognaks ahead, 3-0.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Scram said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
