Green is 32 and he was our first round draft pick in the 1968 amateur draft (8th overall). He pitched two games late in the 1970 season and has been a part of the staff ever since. He has been a solid middle of the rotation arm for the Brewers over the years with a 103-64 career record and a 3.51 ERA. Next season is the last year of his contract and the team has an option to buy him out and let him walk, which looked like it might happen earlier this season. It appears that he has earned at least one more season in Brewer purple now though.
