Arrows updates, quick and accurate!

* A 15-3 July has put the Arrows back into a race with the Orix Buffaloes for the PL pennant, with Orix's lead shrunk to 1.5 games
* Kim Chae-bong won PL Pitcher of the Month for July, in part thanks to his 13-K no-hitter at ZOZO Marine Stadium against Lotte on the 22nd. His line was 4-0, 39 Ks, 0.31 ERA, and 0.96 oAVG in 29 1/3 IP. Just dominant.
* The Arrows pulled off an intriguing trade with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at the deadline, adding DH Teruhide Hirata (75% retained) and RHP Eisuke Tsumura and sending over LF Jon Lutz (100% retained), LHP Tetsuzan Akiyama, and LF Setsuo Yamshta (#72 prospect). Hirata's 6-year contract with Yakult given his lacklustre defense never made sense, but as a DH, he'll fit perfectly in at Shizuoka.
* Sure enough, guy slugged a grand slam in his second at-bat for the double-green.
* This also means Yoshikuni Yokota will be playing left field for the future, with Shinkichi Hara called up to help with the outfield defense.
* And a speedy recovery to our closer Narihira Kimura, who will be out for August with a strained back.
