20 July 2298 - Nuka World Baseball League News
The Nuka World Baseball League, an independent league from the Commonwealth Baseball Organization, has announced that it will begin its league a year ahead of the original 2300 plan.
There had been various posters around the Bradberton and Nuka World park locations advertising the baseball league as early as in the spring of 2297. One posted is pictured below.
However, John-Caleb Bradberton announced today that the league had progressed at a faster rate than he expected and eight baseball parks had been built to attract fans to the stadiums. The league released its league logo and announced the official final tally of the eight initial teams of the NWBL.
The teams are based on a flavor of Nuka-Cola as well as various unique features of the Bradberton area. Logos and uniforms will be announced later.

20 July 2298 - BMU: Robotics Experts Mow Down Grognaks, 9-4
The Galleria Robotics Experts racked up a win at General Atomics Galleria Park, bumping off the Malden Grognaks, 9-4. Chris Deathclaw, who started for Galleria, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Galleria pushed its record to 34-20.
The Robotics Experts got a big at-bat from right fielder Caleb Cavedoor. For the game, Cavedoor was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Galleria a 3-1 lead.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Cavedoor told the Galleria Observer.
20 July 2298 - BMU: Snipers Get Past Postal Square in Exciting 9th
Trinity Plaza picked up a win at Memory Den Field, bumping off the Postal Square Action Boys, 5-4, with each team scoring three runs in the 9th inning. Pitcher Oscar Chekhemani was a major reason the Snipers emerged victorious. With the victory, the Snipers upped their record to 30-24.
The Snipers were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Shawn Burton turned a 1-1 fastball from Taco LaVergne into a bases-clearing triple. The walk-off triple electrified the Memory Den Field denizens and sent the Snipers home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
"Exhilarating win," said Chekhemani.
20 July 2298 - BMU: Savelli Helps Flamers Beat Refractors, 8-3
In the 8-3 Corvega win over C.I.T. Ruins, the impact of Bat Savelli was substantial. Savelli, who is tied for 7th in the CA with a .330 batting average, was 4-4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Jason Bourque earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Corvega is now 24-30, C.I.T. Ruins 30-24.
The Flamers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We'll savor this win," Savelli told the Corvega Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
20 July 2298 - Stoops, Assaultrons Wallop Radstags, 10-1
Easy Town shortstop Matt Stoops contributed to his team's 10-1 win over the Concord Radstags. Stoops, who is tied for 6th in the NCA in doubles with 29, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Assaultrons. The victory gives Easy Town a record of 40-35.
With Easy Town leading 6-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Stoops came up to bat against Concord pitcher Brent Brewer. Stoops hit a slider to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Assaultrons on top, 10-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said Stoops after the game.
Angel Waterdrink (11-7) pitched the complete-game victory for the Assaultrons. In 9.0 innings, he allowed one earned run on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
20 July 2298 - Ninjas Top Hancocks, 3-1, Behind Wallace
The Egret Ninjas picked up a win at Third Rail Stadium at S. Boston HS, knocking off the Goodneighbor Hancocks, 3-1. On the mound for Egret was left-hander Phlip Wallace, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Ninjas improve their record to 32-43 with the win over Goodneighbor.
Wallace allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8.1 innings for the Ninjas. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Wallace. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
20 July 2298 - Shed Now 9-7 After Subduing Synths
Nordhagen Beach rode a fine outing from starter Julian Shed to victory over the Lexington Synths at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium. The final score was 8-2. The Party Boys have now won 9 straight.
The Synths had few good swings against Shed, the left-hander, who threw 101 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 2 runs on 3 hits.
"Julian -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Party Boys manager Craig Robinson. "He was the key to us winning."
Michael Fogcrawler led the Party Boys bats. In four at bats, he had three hits, including a double. He scored once and drove in three. Taboo Richardson hit his 10th home run of the season.
20 July 2298 - Silver Shroud Roll Over Four Leafs, 12-4
Fort Hagen and Finch Farm put this game in the books despite a radstorm.
A good performance from left fielder Andre Grogg helped the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud defeat the Finch Farm Four Leafs, 12-4. Grogg went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times for the Silver Shroud. Derek Green was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts.
Sam Noob swatted a grand slam home run for Fort Hagen in the bottom of the sixth. The right fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 4. The Shroud hit four home runs in the game.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Grogg told the Fort Hagen Bulletin.
Fort Hagen raised its record to 42-33 with the win.
Finch Farm's Ginger Rogers set a dubious mark of striking out five times in five at bats. That ties the North Charles Association record.
