Analysis

Oberland sits at the top spot for the 16th of 18 weeks, as they clinch a wildcard spot. That spot is irrelevant since the T-51s have a magic number of 5, meaning they need any combination of five wins or Diamond City losses to clinch the Railroad League. The magic number can only shrink, so we would assume the T-51s clinch the RL this week due to their 16-game lead with just 20 to go.

Nordhagen Beach plunged down the Power Rankings this week from #2 to #6 after a 2-3 week, splitting with Starlight and losing at Salem. The Party Boys have also seen their division lead shrink to just three games over The Slog. The Brotherhood League is basically down to three teams, but the Boys still need to show that they are the class of the North Charles Association that they have looked to be for most of the season.

The Institute League still looks to be the most interesting down the stretch, though Fort Hagen and Abernathy have pulled away from Starlight. The Lady Killers have the stigma of being slow finishers forever, or at least for now after the 2297 implosion. The Silver Shroud and Adamantium have not been killers themselves, but the Shroud are currently tied with the Ghouls and the Quincy Gunners for hottest teams in the CBO.

Like the RL, the Minutemen League is virtually over, though the Goodneighbor Hancocks have a magic number of 12 over the current second-place team, the Warwick Mirelurks. Interestingly, looking at PAM's predictions, the Hancocks should currently hold a better record than Oberland, so the 2nd-best team in the CBO and the South Charles Association is actually playing BELOW their expectations. Something tells me that is a prediction of the future. We will see once the games are played, but Goodneighbor is probably the actual best team in the CBO despite being four games back of the T-51s in the race for the first seed.
