  • MLB playoffs:

I made some changes this season to reflect the expansion of the MLB in real life, with new franchises. I kinda messed up the postseason though, as there are 3 rounds involving only 6 teams, all played in best-of-7 series, the best team of each league have a bye for the first round.
I fix this for next season, with the more known division series series in Bo5 series.

In the AL, the best team was the newly founded franchise Tampa Bay. Their opponent in the 2nd round were the Twins, who defeated the Angels in the first round. With a 4-3 victory, the Devil Rays advanced to the World Series.
For the NL, the best franchise was also an expansion one : the D-Backs. The preliminary round opposed Miami against Cincinnati and ended up with the Marlins' win. In the second round, Arizona triumphed over Miami 4-2.

In this duel of new franchises, Tampa Bay was the one to come out victorious with a 4-2 win.

  • International Championship Series:

With the MLB changes, I also could get rid of the bug that was making the MLB season to happened one year after. To do this, I scheduled a short season, that the A's won (see last recap). Therefore, Oakland was the only team that got screwed as they couldn't compete in an ICS.

Played in Stonegap for the first time, the ICS saw Tampa Bay compete equally with Linga Bay. However, it's the lingalian franchise that won the series between the two franchises located near a bay.

  • HoF Induction :

This season, two players were inducted in the HoF, both on their first ballot

- Dave Jackman (80.3 %) mostly played for two franchises : the Jade Tigers (77-81) and City (82-92). He is inducted as a City player, where he performed the most. He has won one Golden Ball as well as on postseason series MVP award, both in 1988. Jackman was also elected 4 times to play in the ASG. His all-time numbers are 181-176, 3.28 ERA, 2661 K, 1.16 WHIP, 0.6 HR/9, .279 BABIP, 67.0 WAR.

- River Ford (72.5%) played for four different teams: Orange (76-84), the Silver Eagles (85-86), the Nang Nius (87-93) and the Bears (94). While he played more for Orange, he is wearing a Nang Nius cap in the HoF. The Canadian won two Golden Gloves, in 81 and 83, 6 Ruby Awards (80, 81, 83, 88, 89, 91) two postseason series MVP awards (88 & 89) and he also got 4 ASG selection. During his career, he batted for .253/.399/.847 with 1875 H, 360 HR, 1188 RBI, 60.6 WAR
