Assman rocked opposing pitching for a .471 average (8-for-17), 4 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award.

So far in his young career, Any Why has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Massachusetts Association in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 20-year-old Eastlake Aquaboys center fielder hit at a torrid .462 clip as he collected 6 hits in 13 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

29 August 2298 - BMU: Nerd Ragers Get Past C.I.T. Ruins for 6-5 Win

The Nerd Ragers grabbed a win, 6-5, at General Atomics Stadium at the Ruins, overcoming a fine effort from C.I.T. Ruins pitcher Brian Cox. Cox went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs.

The win belongs to Brian Young in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Mitch Revolver took the loss for C.I.T. Ruins. Muther Eckstein notched his 19th save in 22 chances.

College Square used the timely hitting of Luis Equihua to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Nerd Ragers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a good win for us," said Equihua. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

College Square now leads the Commonwealth Association Cambridge League by two games with three games left. The Refractors must win the last three games to win the league.

Galleria improves to 43-30 with the win. They lead their league by 3 games over the Night People with three to play. Greentop Nursery must now win the last three to tie in the Dark Hollow Pond League and force a play-in game for the playoffs.

Galleria used the timely hitting of Beer Harku to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Robotics Experts on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

29 August 2298 - BMU: T-60s Drop Mole Rats, 5-1

"I just tried to make good contact," said Tattooman.
