For the past few months, the Cluckers, Irregulars, and Perros were Gold teams. I think things may have changed.
The Cluckers continue to be a pretty good Gold team that occasionally dips into Silver and dominates or rises into Diamond and gets demolished. Last season ended with a first place finish but a quick exit in the Divisional round of the playoffs. Recent additions of FOTF Roberto Alomar, FOTF Bob Feller, and SE Chris Sale are keeping the team in first place in Gold this season. The team is working on completing the Yankees FOTF to add DiMaggio to a corner spot and shift 92 Ichiro to the bench, but it's going to take at least a couple of weeks of saving up.
The Irregulars continue to struggle with pack pulls, especially on the pitching front, where the only historical perfect pitcher the team has pulled was Dennis Eckersley several months ago. FOTF mission completion has been equally slow, with the last FOTF reward card (David Ortiz, a marginal improvement) added a couple of weeks ago. The team did add some bullpen depth by completing the Future Legends pitchers mission for SE Dwight Gooden, who has been excellent so far this season. The team earned a wildcard slot last season but has struggled to get to .500 this season, a combination of the weak staff and several position players having subpar seasons. The current FOTF project is to add Al Kaline to an already solid Gold league outfield (Dawson/Charleston/Clemente), but completion is still likely a week away.
Los Perros have had an eventful couple of weeks/seasons, starting with the long gestating completion of the FOTF Mets mission, adding Tom Seaver to the rotation. A couple of days later, they added SE Tex Hughson after reaching the semi-finals in the Gold PTCS. Towards the end of last season, they added SE Chris Sale, then completed the Giants FOTF mission on the eve of the playoffs. With a much stronger rotation (and through displacement, bullpen) and FOTF Willie Mays anchoring the lineup, los Perros won their first Gold league championship. So far, the team has held its own in the Diamond league, sporting a 36-32 record after 68 games. Could they avoid Diamond relegation for the first time? In the meantime, the team is working on the Braves FOTF to add Hank Aaron (who will likely DH), which will take at least a week or two to complete. Then they'll complete the FOTF Marlins mission to add Jose Fernandez to the pen--and NL East FOTF Warren Spahn to the rotation!
