A near collapse

POG Johann Girard, normally mild mannered, had some choice words for his team in the locker room. The struggling Artists played sloppy ball stranding runners all day long (16), passed balls, runners caught stealing, 2 throwing errors in the infield in the 9th inning alone, and they were oh so lucky to escape with a win in a game they should have won easily.

It took a 2 out bottom of the 10th outfield assist from Jacque Jung to nail the tying run at the plate. Paris had yielded 3 in the 9th, 2 more in the 10th as the bullpen, rated 11th in the league, could not buy an out. And, when it looked like they made the right pitch, the leagues worst defensive team (12th) bungled it.

Paris is giving up more runs than any other team in the league. They have the worst ERA, worst OPS, and the highest, by far, BABIP average.
Julien Henri put an exclamation point to the words of Girard, "This team is in trouble if we don't turn it around, like, right now."
