Walkers news: June 27 -- Akron 6, St. Louis 4

Record: 45-30, 1st, 4 GA Cedar Rapids
A three-run homer from Jose Segura in the top of the first staked St. Louis to an early lead, but by the time the River Walkers scored again they trailed 6-3 and Akron would on to win 6-4 at Candlestick Park (1993).
Segura launched his 27th homer of the season off Flying Feet starting pitcher Joel Thomas to put St. Louis ahead early.
Akron began to mount its comeback in the bottom of the third, when Zach Arnold led off the inning with a solo homer off Walkers starter Kaneo Kawamoto.
An inning later, the Feet had the lead after scoring three times.
Lee Oakley plated the first run with a single off Kawamoto.
Arnold took care of the other two when he followed that with a double.
Akron added two insurance runs in the seventh against the St. Louis bullpen.
Andres Hernandez allowed the inning's first two batters to reach base.
Kylon Tye made him pay with a one-out triple.
Thomas (5-0) settled down after the Segura homer, but still pitched just five innings allowing the three runson four hits.
Nick Kahny followed with a pair of scoreless innings.
Willie Mendoza pitched the eighth, and allowed a homer to Steve Rossi.
Jose Leclerc earned his first save with a scoreless ninth.
