Walkers news: July 12 -- Dayton 13, St. Louis 3

Record: 52-37, 1st, 3 GA Cedar Rapids
Dayton roughed up St. Louis starting pitcher Zack Hunsicker for six runs in a little over two innings, and the Pilots breezed to a 13-3 win at Busch Stadium (1997).
The Pilots hit five homers in the game, including a pair off Hunsicker over the second and third innings.
Joe Allen hit a two-out, three-run homer to drive in the final three runs of a four-run second for Dayton.
Edgar Cardenas plated the first run with a single.
Ken Puckett then basically chased Hunsicker with a two-run homer, two batters into the third inning as the Pilots lead grew to 6-0.
An inning later, Peter Crow-Armstrong got into the act with a three-run homer off Andres Hernandez to make it 9-1.
Dayton's final two homers were solo blasts, Bobby Carrasco taking Hernandez deep in the fifth and Puckett hitting his second of the game, this one off Ricky Cisneros, in the sixth as the Pilots pulled ahead 11-1.
Dayton starting pitcher Lenny Torres exited the game after allowing a lead-off single to Daniel Becerra in the first/
He was diagnosed with a shoulder injury, which is expected to keep him out up to six days,
With that six relievers had to pick up the slack.
Edgar Cardenas (5-3) started the line of relievers going 2.2 innings, and earning the win.
He was followed by Trey Cobb (1.1 IP), Jason Pappas (2.0), Jason GIldea (1.0), John Goulet (1.0) and Justin O'Rourke (1.0).
