24 September 2298 - Easy City Downs Honors Trons Player
Lucky Lou, co-owner of Easy City Downs in the Easy Town, announced upon the start of the Sole Survivor Series that there would be a name change at the Downs.
The announcer's box at the robot (and sometimes creature) tracks will be renamed to the Metalbox in honor of Easy Town Assaultrons left fielder Jarrett Metalbox who won the batting crown with a .408 average and helped lead the team to the Sole Survivor Series where they will play Goodneighbor.
The Assaultrons can host up to three home games: Tuesday, August 27, through Thursday, August 29. Lucky Lou said that bettors on those dates who visit the Downs can vote on the Easy Town baseball for double payouts.
"We're going to have the biggest crowd the Commonwealth has ever seen," Lucky Lou said. "We have the Assaultrons to thank for that, especially Mr. Metalbox. That's why we're naming the announcer's box after him, and he is welcome here anytime, when there's no baseball games to win, of course."
Early lines at the Downs are showing heavy betting in favor of Goodneighbor with nine bets going for the Hancocks to win it all for every two Easy Town bets. The heaviest series length bets include Goodneighbor in 6 games (36%), Goodneighbor in 7 games (26%), and Easy Town in 7 games (11%). The lowest bet rate was for Easy Town to sweep (1%).
