Des Moines scored single runs in the third, fifth and eighth innings.
Justin Oates scored the game's first run after he doubled with one out off Walkers starter Jesse McNaboe in the third inning.
McNaboe lost track of the plate after that issuing three straight walks -- the first one was intentional to Rafael Devers -- with the free pass to Jared Poland sending Oates across the plate.
