28 September 2298 - BMU: Greentop Nursery Ace Takes Pitcher of the Year Award
Aaron Demps of the Greentop Nursery Night People has been selected the premier pitcher in the Commonwealth Association and will receive the Pitcher of the Year Award for 2298.
The top vote-getter completed the year with a 11-1 record. He started 16 times, threw 103.1 innings, chalked up 118 strikeouts and 41 walks, limited hitters to a .171 batting average and posted an impressive 1.92 ERA.
He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 24. Flimflam Macedo of the Corvega Flamers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Todd Westland of the Union Hope Lifegivers finished third with 2 first place votes.

28 September 2298 - BMU: MA's Best Hurler is Capps
When the name of R.J. Capps appeared on the Haymarket Mall lineup card in 2298, it was a virtual guarantee of a victory or at least a well-pitched game. For his brilliant performance this season he was named the Massachusetts Association Pitcher of the Year Award winner today.
He started 17 games, running up a 10-3 record and a 2.22 ERA. Capps held opponents to a .202 average while striking out 121, walking 29 and allowing 80 hits in 109.1 innings of work.
He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ronnie Gipper of the Somerville Place Sentry Bots finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Edward Waddle of the Somerville Place Sentry Bots finished third with 1 first place vote.

If the Easy Town Assaultrons cannot find their bats today, they will walk away from their first-ever playoff appearance with a bitter taste of broom needles. That's what is at stake when the Assaultrons host the CBO's best team, the Goodneighbor Hancocks in Game 4 of the series with the Hancocks currently up 3 games to nil. Bruce Iddings (1-2, 7.20 ERA in the postseason) will face off against Angel Waterdrink (4-1, 3.13) where the Assaultrons appear on paper to have a chance to win. Game time is 8:05 PM at Easy Town Field.
